My Story

When I first watched the show "Extreme Couponing," I thought...how cool is that! But I also asked myself...come on, who really needs 85 bottles of mustards?? I had never really paid attention to coupons.  To me, clipping coupons and actually remembering to use them before they would expire just to save 35 cents, was almost insignificant.

Then, one of my closest friends started couponing a few months ago and I started to see all the money she was saving. I realized that coupons are money! She pointed me in the right direction and it wasn't long before I decided to give it a shot.

After my first couple of successful shopping trips, I was amazed at how much money I had saved just by using coupons.  When you have a coupon for a particular item on one hand and that particular item on sale on the other hand, believe me, you've got GOLD! :)

Couponing has become sort of like retail therapy to me.  I love taking my time at stores, checking out their prices, comparing them to the other stores -- it's relaxing and keeps my mind busy.  But the adrenaline rush I get when I find a really great deal is one of the best parts ....the other part is knowing how much money I've saved!

Extreme couponing is just that, EXTREME.  I am not for clearing out shelves (unless you're willing to donate to charities) but I do believe in taking advantage of the sales when the prices are low.  This is how you create your nice stockpile.

I don't know EVERYTHING there is to know about couponing and I'm definitely not a "pro" at it....yet (LOL).  I learn something new every day.
But it is my desire to share with you any great deals I find or know of.  We all work so hard for our money.  And with this failing economy, the most logical thing to do is to try to save as much as we can.  So, when you get your Sunday paper and you see all the different inserts with coupons, keep this in mind.....it's FREE money, honey!
